Welcome to Fox Class!
A very warm welcome to Fox Class. Our Year 1 and 2 class is called Fox, after George Fox, who was a founder member of the Quaker Society of Friends.
In the morning, children are taught separately in Year 1 and 2 groups for maths and phonics on Monday through to Thursday. We also have daily handwriting and English, which is taught as a class. The mixed year groups come together for foundations subjects that are taught every afternoon and on Fridays.
Monday and Wednesday are PE days. We understand that Fox children are still young and learn from playing. Children have access to an exciting Key Stage 1 area complete with a range of equipment including a sand tray, mud kitchen, climbing frame (trim trail), water tray and a pirate ship! Where ever appropriate, teaching takes place outside in our beautiful grounds. At the back of the class, we also have a Creation Station where children have the opportunity to use their imagination.
