Safeguarding is at the forefront of everything we do at William Penn. It is at the core of our ethos and values and we revisit it constantly throughout the year in assemblies and through our curriculum.
Here are some recent quotes from the children when asked about safeguarding in the school:
Do you feel safe at school?
"Yes, we have gates and fences which help keep us safe. We do fire alarm practises to make sure everyone knows what to do. There is a safeguarding team of Mr Brookes and Mrs Constable. There are photos on the wall and we see it every day." KS1 Child
What do you do if you are worried about something at WP?
"Tell a trusted adult and speak with my friends. Mr Brookes and Mrs Constable are in charge of safeguarding in school." KS2 Child
