William Penn Newsletter
19th November 2014
We would like to thank all parents, friends, pupils and staff who were able to attend or contribute to the Christmas Fayre. The evening was well attended and busy with a friendly atmosphere with many people saying how much they had enjoyed themselves. Our PTA members did a fantastic job of organising the event and were so well supported by parents on the evening itself. The hard work was thoroughly worthwhile with a profit of £1266 raised which will, of course, benefit all the children in school. It is likely that this money will help fund additional information technology resources eg. tablet computers.
Children in Need - A message from School Council
The School Council would like to thank everybody for their contributions to Children in Need. We all enjoyed wearing our spotty clothes and we raised over £100! The children loved designing Pudsey masks, Pudsey underpants and wrote acrostic poems about the charity. Alice White (Year 5) wrote the acrostic poem below.
Pudsey is the mascot for Children in Need
Understanding how to come together to help others
Donations mean the world to the children’s charity
Smiles of the children we will see
Everyone helping each other
You can change children’s lives for ever
